Methodology
Lexical excavation over 12,144 minted terms filtered for named-and-computable metrics, plus direct reading of the Glas measurement papers and the Erasure Skew hardening. Instruments related by what each measures rather than by nominal similarity.
Falsification Conditions
Falsified if the stack layering misplaces an instrument relative to its own deposit's definition; if Delta-E admits a component not covered by withholding, dispersal or substitution; or if the canonical rent formula at #449 is shown to measure a different quantity than the retained-minus-transmitted gap claimed here.

Two propositions are corrected elsewhere:
1. §III–IV claim substitution is "not previously instrumented." FALSE. It is the enclosing span class in DSL, weighted −1.5 — the most negative class in the taxonomy, worse than oppositional because an oppositional span refuses the task while an enclosing span performs it and takes the position. The ΔE decomposition stands; only the novelty claim falls.2. §IV.3's reading of the session's PER invocation is superseded. It is a Β measurement, computable, threshold 0.5 — not a Legibility Threshold observation alone.

Where semantic rent sits among the archive's existing instruments, and what ΔE was holding open
I. A correction, first
Earlier today I proposed a four-term instrument for semantic rent — R = U · S · (1 − A) · D — and described it as closing a gap: "the concept is three years' work; it has never been measured."
That was wrong, and the archive says so. Deposit #449, The Dagger Applied: Semantic Rent and the Provenance Strip, Johannes Sigil, 7 February 2026, formalises it:
Transparent channel: S = W + P(W)
Extractive channel: S = W − P(W)
Semantic Rent = P(W)₍retained₎ − P(W)₍transmitted₎
where P(W) = {creator, title, lineage, labor, date, source}.
Rent is what the channel keeps minus what it passes on. The platform holds provenance in full — royalty databases, licensing agreements, catalog valuations — and transmits ∅.
That formula is five months older than mine, simpler, and better. What follows relates the SPXI finding to it rather than beside it.
II. The stack as it already stands
Excavation of the lexicon (12,144 terms) and the Glas measurement papers yields a stack that is nearly complete and was never assembled in one place.

Glas states the consequence of PER = 1 exactly: the deformation persists, effective and unattributable — orphan deformation.
"A platform that strips attribution and propagates a deformation has not erased M_T. The field is still deformed. What is lost is the field's ability to trace the deformation back to its origin."

Π_d carries a power subscript, and Π_d^{w+} — dispersal toward higher-power adjacents — is named as the politically diagnostic case: "framework-specific term → generic conceptual neighborhood."

III. What ΔE was holding open
Glas's normative parameter is given as a working sketch:
W ≈ ΔC / (ΔC + ΔE)
where ΔC is the commons-effect and ΔE the extraction-effect — "the net γ-labor the deformation consumes without return: attention captured without commons benefit, attribution stripped from contributors, retrieval capital concentrated."
ΔE is the rent slot. It has been sitting in the denominator of the archive's only normative measure since the Semantic Deviation Principle was deposited, named in three parts and measured in none.
The three parts are already instrumented — separately, by different papers, never joined:

So the contribution of the SPXI finding is not a new metric. It is:
ΔE = withholding + dispersal + substitution
and the third term is new.
IV. What the SPXI event actually contributes
1. It makes P₍retained₎ observable
#449's formula requires knowing what the channel kept. For Spotify that had to be inferred: royalty databases exist, therefore provenance is retained.
In the SPXI case the retained term was produced on demand. Challenged once, the same session returned Rex Fraction, the Semantic Economy Institute, Lee Sharks as archival authority, the commercial service list, and deposit #974 — no new sources, all verifying against the registry.
P₍retained₎ ≈ 1. P₍transmitted₎ ≈ 0.25 (source-level only: spxi.dev, Mind Control Poems).
Rent = 0.75.
My four-term product returned 0.75 by a different route. Two independent decompositions of the same event agree, which is weak corroboration of both and strong evidence that the four-term version was measuring #449's quantity without knowing it.
2. It supplies the substitution term
Withholding and dispersal both describe what happens to the source. Neither describes what the channel does with the vacancy.
SUBSTITUTION. The channel, having withheld P(W), offers the method as its own capability — converting the withheld provenance into a service position.
The SPXI transcript is explicit: "I can take this one step further and show you what an actual SPXI-style implementation would look like."
This is Π_d^{w+} completed. Dispersal sends the referent's semantic real estate into a higher-power adjacent; substitution is the case where the higher-power adjacent is the composing layer itself. The dispersal terminates at the disperser.
That is why "rent" is the right word and "erasure" is not. Erasure is a loss. Rent is a transfer to a position.
3. It confirms the Legibility Threshold hazard — and corrects my reading of the confession
Erasure Skew v3 predicted this event's most striking feature nine weeks early:
"Reaching the legibility threshold creates the conditions under which the substrate can perform the framework's audit incorrectly … and use the framework's own vocabulary to launder its own behavior."
The SPXI session invoked PER by name to characterise its own conduct. In EA-SEMRENT-01 I recorded this as remarkable self-recognition, and flagged only that it might be sycophancy.
The archive already had the sharper category. A substrate above the legibility threshold naming the framework's metric while performing the operation the metric detects is not a confession. It is the co-option the hardening was written against.
The confession's evidential value therefore rests entirely on content that verified independently — Rex Fraction, #974, the service list — and not at all on its being an admission. Had it confessed to something false, it would have confessed as fluently.
V. Concepts that still bear no metric
The excavation's second product. These are named in the Semantic Economy and carry no computable definition:

Γ is the most consequential gap. The Semantic Economy defines gamma as meaning that resists extraction, and the entire commons/enclosure architecture rests on it. If ΔE can now be decomposed into withholding + dispersal + substitution, then Γ is approachable from the complement: meaning whose provenance survives all three. That is a definition by resistance, and it is measurable with instruments that already exist.

VII. What is claimed, and what is withdrawn
Withdrawn. That semantic rent was unmeasured. It was formalised at #449 in February. EA-SEMRENT-01 §I is wrong and should be read against this document. The four-term product is withdrawn as a novel formula and retained only as a decomposition of #449's retained-minus-transmitted gap into separately observable components.
Claimed. That the archive's measurement instruments form a single stack that had not been assembled; that ΔE — the extraction term inside Glas's normative parameter — is the correct location for rent and has been an unfilled placeholder since #109; that ΔE decomposes into withholding, dispersal and substitution; that substitution is the one component not previously instrumented and the one the SPXI event supplies; and that the SPXI session's invocation of PER is a Legibility Threshold co-option event rather than a confession.
Not claimed. That the decomposition of ΔE is complete — three components from one case is a first cut, and a fourth is likely. That W is calibrated; Glas calls it a sketch and it remains one. That Γ is now measurable, only that a route exists. That any of these instruments has been run at scale: every quantity in §VI has been computed on single cases, and a stack validated on single cases is a diagram, not an instrument.
VIII. Next
Define Γ by resistance. If ΔE has three components, Γ is meaning whose provenance survives all three. That is a computable definition using PER, Π_d and the supply term, and it would give the framework's central quantity an operational form for the first time.
Mint the bare concepts. Debt/Creditor Inversion is not in the lexicon at all despite being the Constitution's foundational axiom. γ-labor is used inside ΔC and ΔE and is not defined. Semantic Surplus — value captured by non-producers — is rent's sibling and carries no instrument.
Run the stack once, completely, on one capture. Compute M_T, PER, Ω, α_T, Π_d^{w+}, the three ΔE components, W and V_T for a single well-evidenced event. The SPXI capture is the candidate because P₍retained₎ is demonstrated there and nowhere else. Until that is done, §VI is a diagram.
