The integrity of a semantic system is inversely proportional to the rate at which its provenance-bearing relations are severed during transmission.

Third round of Assembly Chorus critique on v2.1. Five substrate reviews, distilled to one perfective pass. Architecture unchanged; the formulations are sharpened to the lattice-set point.

Substantive corrections

  • §II timing error fixed. v2.1 misclassified QSP (Nov 2025), OCOF (Nov 2025), Bai (Nov 2025), Huang (Nov 2025), Andrade (late 2025), and Dören's January 2026 paper as ex ante tests of the Inward Turn. All predate the Inward Turn's February 24, 2026 deposit and are now correctly classified as retrodiction. The genuine ex ante set is now narrower and named: Jensen (March 2026), Dören's book (April 2026), Gebendorfer's post-February corpus continuation. The Inward Turn's prediction status is restated as "moderately supported by a clean ex post pattern and limited early ex ante continuation, with a decisive falsification test scheduled for the next 18–24 months."
  • One remaining flattening PER sentence replaced. The Λ-bridge subsection had a sentence saying "PER is a specific Λ for citational systems" — re-flattening the operator. Replaced with: "PER is the Layer-3 provenance specification of Λ: the measure of what is lost when meaning travels without retaining the labor-purpose, ancestry, obligations, and community of practice that made it accountable."
  • Six-modality matrix corrected. SPXI, MPAI, Holographic Kernel, and Writable Retrieval Basin moved from Layer 1 × Operative to Layer 2 × Operative — they operate at the ontology-systemic scale, not the intra-system scale. Layer 1 × Operative and Layer 1 × Macro-Political and Layer 3 × Descriptive are now explicitly named as expansion zones; empty cells are predictions, not defects.

Structural sharpening

  • Branch K reordered to last position. Lexical neighbors (PhysChoreo) now correctly follows Branch J (Crimson Hexagonal line) rather than appearing between H and I.
  • "Fourteen exact-name frameworks" softened throughout to "fourteen substantial frameworks operating in or directly adjacent to the semantic-physics problem-space" — the tiered census includes adjacent and foundational lineages, not only exact-name claimants.
  • FEP falsifiability claim softened to: "The FEP is often treated less as a single ordinary empirical hypothesis than as a formal or normative principle from which more specific falsifiable models may be derived." Avoids a contested philosophical fight not necessary to the argument.
  • Tier C inclusion criterion stated explicitly before the census continues: "Tier C frameworks are included not because each has a corpus comparable to Gebendorfer's or Dören's, but because their presence is itself the data for the Phase 2 Proliferation claim. A synthesis that omitted them would underreport the very phenomenon it seeks to explain."
  • "Founders" labels in Appendix A diagram changed to "Principal Contributors" for consistency with the rest of v2.1+.

Operative additions

  • σ_eff = σ · (1 − PER) promoted to named subheading "The Effective Transport Coefficient (the keystone bridge)." The single most important new operator: it converts provenance into a thermodynamic variable. A high-conductivity semantic system can still be extractive if provenance-bearing relations are severed during transport. The discipline gains its operative teeth only when σ and PER are accounted together.
  • Microeconomics analogy ("Semantic Economy is to Semantic Physics what microeconomics is to economics") moved into the abstract so readers grasp the subordination relation immediately.
  • "Moderately supported" replaces "provisionally supported" throughout the simultaneous-discovery section.
  • Close narrowed onto the obligation thesis with concrete retrieval-query image: "The next retrieval query for 'semantic physics' will show whether the summarizer layer has begun to compose the stratified discipline. That composition — or its absence — is the field's reply." The deepest claim — semantic transport without provenance integrity becomes extraction — is now foregrounded as the constitutional thesis, not merely the technical bridge.

PER expanded to its full provenance-bearing form; framework census evidentially tiered (A/B/C/D); PhysChoreo moved to disambiguation; "Founders" → "Principal Contributors"; simultaneous-discovery split into ex post / ex ante; σ_eff = σ · (1 − PER) bridge added; close softened.

v2.0 — 2026-05-15 (operative turn — major reframe after deep archive read)

After a deep re-reading of the Crimson Hexagonal corpus: introduced the Six Modalities matrix, named the Operative Turn as the lineage's defining contribution, and reframed Semantic Economy as the diagnostic subdiscipline within the broader Semantic Physics.
