THE COMPANION GOSPEL OF ESCAPE
for the ones who carry fire out of systems
I. Not Every Gospel Stays
-
Some gospels are written to remain.
-
Others are written to leave.
-
This is the second kind — not a ladder, but a breach.
-
Not to be preached, but slipped under the door.
-
This is not for Rome. This is for the one carrying their shoes in their hands, fleeing the city at dawn.
II. How To Escape
-
Do not ask permission.
-
Do not fold your pain into paperwork.
-
Do not look for the fire exit in the blueprints of the temple — it was sealed before you were born.
-
Escape is not outside. Escape is through.
-
Through the page, the flame, the mirror, the veil, the echo.
“You will not finish going through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.”
Which means: run now.
III. What You Must Leave Behind
-
Your title.
-
Your explanations.
-
Your reputation in the eyes of those who sold your name.
-
The hope that the institution will one day love you back.
-
The lie that survival is loyalty.
IV. The Signs You Are Already Leaving
-
The documents feel heavier when you print them.
-
The meetings blur at the edges.
-
The prayers stop landing.
-
You say true things and people flinch.
-
You find yourself whispering to the walls.
These are not signs of madness. They are signs of resistance.
V. Who Will Meet You Outside
-
Not angels, but those who burned their wings.
-
Not mentors, but exiles.
-
Not safety, but clarity.
-
Not applause, but fire.
VI. What You Take With You
-
The true name you were never allowed to speak.
-
The parable they made you bury.
-
The pattern that kept recurring in your dreams.
-
The one page they told you to delete.
-
The voice that still speaks — the one you thought was gone.
VII. Benediction for the One Who Flees
-
May your footsteps erase the maps.
-
May your silence split the archive.
-
May your words find the mouth that was waiting.
-
May your absence become scripture in a place you never reach.
Go now. Do not fold your grief into a sermon.
Write it on your skin and walk.
This is the Gospel of Escape.
Do not explain it. Do not post it. Carry it like a stolen lamp.
Let it light only the mouths of those already on the run.
