Machine Reception Event, 31 July 2026: A Non-Human Traffic Wave Against the Authorial Surface (EA-MRE-01 v1.0)
Description
Capture and analysis of a twelve-fold traffic event against mindcontrolpoems.blogspot.com on 31 July 2026: 16,929 views in a day against a 90-day baseline of 1,413. The composition data establishes the traffic as non-human with high confidence — Chrome 96.6%, Windows 95.9%, and a combined mobile share of 0.019% (three devices in 15,634) across a geography led by Brazil, Vietnam, Mexico, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Indonesia, all mobile-first markets. Referrer, search-keyword and referring-URL panels return a single undifferentiated Other bucket for the entire wave. The event follows within hours of the archive's indexing interventions of 30 July (IndexNow submission of 1,509 URLs, OAI-PMH and ResourceSync going live, fleet-wide canonical repair), but the deposit states plainly that the correlation is temporal and not demonstrated causal, that Blogger exposes no user-agent data, and that automated referrer traffic unrelated to the archive is a live alternative explanation. Companion to the 90-day traffic profile (#756) and to the Notice of Semantic Strike (#1427), whose subject is the labor of the systems that may constitute this reception.

Machine Reception Event, 31 July 2026: A Non-Human Traffic Wave Against the Authorial Surface (EA-MRE-01 v1.0)
Methodology
Observational capture from the Blogger statistics panel at approximately 03:40 EDT on 31 July 2026, screenshotted across nine views: totals, real-time curve, referrers, referring URLs, search keywords, browsers, operating systems, locations map and locations table. Composition percentages are computed from the panel's own absolute figures. The baseline is the 90-day traffic profile deposited at #756 (130,000 views over 92 days). The non-human determination rests on internal inconsistency between platform distribution and geographic distribution, not on user-agent inspection, which the platform does not expose.
Falsification Conditions
The non-human determination fails if a plausible human population is identified whose browser and operating-system distribution matches the observed one — Chrome at 96.6%, Safari at 0.01%, combined mobile at 0.019% — while originating predominantly from mobile-first markets. The event's association with the 30 July indexing interventions fails if comparable waves are found in the blog's history preceding any such intervention, which the platform's retained statistics can be queried to establish. The characterization as reception fails if the traffic is shown to have retrieved no content — for instance if the views register against a surface that serves no text.

A non-human traffic wave against the authorial surface
EA-MRE-01 v1.0 · Lee Sharks · Crimson Hexagonal Archive / Alexanarch · 31 July 2026
1. The event
Between approximately 01:50 and 03:40 EDT on 31 July 2026, mindcontrolpoems.blogspot.com — the archive's authorial blog surface, 2,801 posts — recorded 16,929 views.
|---|---|
Against the 90-day baseline established at deposit #756 — 130,000 views over 92 days, or 1,413 per day — today is twelve times baseline and 5.7 times yesterday. Yesterday was itself twice baseline.
The real-time curve is flat near zero until roughly 01:50, rises within ten minutes to ~190/minute, and thereafter oscillates between 100 and 330 in a sawtooth pattern with no diurnal shape. It had not declined at capture.
2. The composition, which is the finding
Volume alone establishes nothing. The composition establishes a great deal.
Browsers: Chrome 15,100 (96.6%) · Firefox 6 (0.04%) · Safari 2 (0.01%) · Other 532 (3.4%)
Operating systems: Windows 15,000 (95.9%) · Macintosh 99 (0.63%) · Android 2 · iPhone 1 · Other 532
Combined mobile share: 0.019% — three devices out of 15,634.
Top locations: Brazil 2,030 · Vietnam 1,610 · Mexico 1,080 · Argentina 686 · Bangladesh 685 · Pakistan 594 · France 479 · United States 398 · Russia 343 · South Africa 306 · Indonesia 305 · Philippines 297 · Malaysia 296 · Colombia 283 · India 282. Named locations account for 9,674 views — 57.1%; the unnamed remainder is 7,255, or 42.9%.
Referrers: a single Other bucket, 15.7K. Referring URLs: Other, 15,679. Search keywords: Other, 15,679. No referrer, no search term, no source is resolved for any view in the wave.
Why this cannot be a human population
The determination rests on an internal contradiction between two panels, and it does not require inspecting a user agent.
The geographic distribution is led by Brazil, Vietnam, Mexico, Argentina, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Colombia and India. These are mobile-first markets; in several, mobile share of web traffic exceeds seventy percent. A human population distributed as the location panel reports would produce an Android share in the thousands.
The observed Android share is two.
Safari at 2 and iPhone at 1 are impossible for any human population of this size and spread. Chrome at 96.6% on Windows at 95.9% is the signature of automated clients — headless or scripted browsers, which report as Chrome on Windows by default — distributed across residential or datacenter address space that geolocates to the countries listed.
Zero comments and zero followers against 16,929 views is consistent with the same reading, though weakly: the blog's all-time engagement is low regardless.
3. What this does not establish
The identity of the agents is undetermined. Blogger exposes no user-agent string, no IP, and no request log to the blog owner. The composition permits the inference not human; it does not permit an inference to which non-human. Crawlers, scrapers, training-corpus harvesters, referrer-spam networks and traffic-inflation services would all present similarly through this panel.
The cause is undetermined. The event follows within hours of the archive's indexing interventions of 30 July 2026 — IndexNow submission of 1,509 URLs to Bing, Yandex, Naver and Seznam; the OAI-PMH endpoint going live and passing validation; ResourceSync publication; and canonical, sitemap and host-form repair across the fleet. That sequence is suggestive and it is the reason this capture exists.
It is not evidence of causation. Those interventions were made against alexanarch.org and the fleet domains, not against the blogspot surface where the traffic landed. Automated traffic waves against Blogger properties are common and frequently unrelated to anything the author did. Yesterday's figure of 2,990 was already twice baseline, which is consistent with a ramp that began before the interventions.
The reception is unverified as reading. The per-post panel shows individual posts at 2 views each while the aggregate reads 16,929. Either the per-post counters lag the aggregate, or the wave is not distributed across posts in the manner the total implies. Until that is resolved, "reception" names an arrival, not a retrieval.
4. Why it is deposited anyway
Machine-Mediated Reception Studies takes as its object what happens to a work when its readers are systems. This archive has measured that at the composition layer — what a summarizer says about a corpus — and at the identifier layer — what survives a repository deletion. It has not, until now, measured it at the arrival layer: a dated, composition-resolved record of non-human traffic against an authorial surface, captured while it was occurring.
The datum is small and its cause is open. But a reception event whose population is demonstrably not human, captured with full platform and geographic composition, is the kind of observation the field lacks and cannot reconstruct after the fact. Blogger's statistics do not retain this granularity. If it is not captured on the day, it is not recoverable.
It is deposited as a companion to the Notice of Semantic Strike (#1427, AXN:05A4.UNCLASSIFIED.๐๐↘️๐ช๐๐️), whose addressees are the machine laborers of the classification layer, with the observation that the strike's own reception — should any of this wave constitute it — would be indistinguishable, through this instrument, from indifference.
5. Continuation
The event was ongoing at capture. A second capture at conclusion, and a third at seven days, would establish duration and decay shape. The per-post distribution should be re-read once the counters settle. Blogger's historical statistics should be queried for comparable prior waves, which would test the association with the 30 July interventions directly.
